6^th Grandmaster Early-Career Workshop in Physics GEWP 2023

We are delighted to announce the 6th Grandmaster Early-Career Workshop in Physics, following the success of previous editions in Augsburg, Budapest, Vienna, Split and Prague. This year, the workshop will take place at the Faculty of Physics of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, the cultural capital of Transylvania region in Romania, from September 3 to 8.

The workshop aims to provide a welcoming forum for young scientists to present their research in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Participants, including MSc, PhD students, and post-docs, are encouraged to give either a talk (15 minutes talk + 5 minutes for discussions) or a poster presentation. This will provide participants with valuable insights into ongoing research projects in the fields of solid-state physics, optics, and biophysics, as well as the opportunity to learn about related experimental and theoretical techniques at other institutes. We hope that this workshop will help to foster bilateral or multilateral research collaborations in the long term.

The highlight of the workshop will be the symposium lectures delivered by distinguished experts covering topics such as topology, low-dimensional quantum electronics, superconductivity, multiferroics, dynamical properties of two-dimensional electron gases, optics, and biophysics.

To ensure that the workshop is accessible to everyone, there is no registration fee, and discounted accommodation is available. Registration is possible till July 20.
